The work of Sandra Antunes Ramos is based on her trajectory through the graphic arts. The composition between colors and white and the sequence of forms in her paintings echo the desire for construction and organization of space. The artist does a kind of diagramming of these singular and unique formats, establishing an undefined spatiality in which the viewer is invited to enter. She also creates a situation of uncertainty where the interior and exterior of her paintings communicate and seem to switch places.
Sandra was an educator for about ten years; later, she migrated to the graphic arts and designed several books and covers. She also worked on the layout of art books, as well as in setting up exhibitions, and began showing her own work in 2012. She participated in important solo and group shows. Among her solo shows are those held at Galeria Millan, São Paulo, Brazil (2016); and Múltiplo Espaço Arte, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2014). Group shows include: paratodos 2, Carpintaria, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Anexo Millan, São Paulo, Brazil (2017); and paratodos 1, Galpão do Liceu de Artes e Ofícios, São Paulo, Brazil (2012).
