(São Paulo / SP, 1960) Visual artist, holds a master’s degree in arts from the Universidade de São Paulo - USP. In 2012, he was awarded the Funarte Marc Ferrez Prize for Photography; in 2009, was selected by the Edital Arte e Patrimônio (Ministério da Cultura / IPHAN); and, in 2006, received a scholarship by Cisneros-Fontanals Art Foundation. Among his most prominent solo exhibitions are those held at the Museu Nacional (Brasília, Brazil), 2010; at the Projeto Octógono of the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo (São Paulo, Brazil), 2008; at the Museu Victor Meirelles (Florianópolis, Brazil), 2005; and at Paço das Artes (São Paulo, Brazil), 1999. He participated in several art biennials, such as: the 11th Cuenca Biennial (Ecuador), 2011; the Bienal de São Paulo (Brazil), 2008 and 2002; the 14th Biennial of Sydney (Australia), 2004; and the 3rd Bienal Iberoamericana de Lima (Peru), 2002. He also took part in collective exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, at the Museo de Bellas Artes and the Museo Julio Romero de Torres (Córdoba, Spain), the Museum of Contemporary Art (Tokyo, Japan), the Henry Moore Institute (Leeds, England), and at the Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo (São Paulo), among others.
